Of New Year resolutions For Fashion Geek

I know, it’s the second month of 2014 and resolutions are usually made in the beginning of the year. I never really make resolutions or write them down anyway just thoughts I tick off in my head as I go along. But I’ve decided I need to make this one, I haven’t really been blogging that much due to some unrelated reasons and other stresses of life. So this time I think I need to put it down on paper as a goal I have for this New Year 2014. Written down resolutions have more meaning than just declaring something and let it fall as it may. And the best part is that now that I will put it down I will have no more excuses as to why I have not achieved it come December 31^st 2014. Now that I will share it with the whole world I will have people that I will be accountable to…not just for encouragement but also for critiques.

So here goes my 2014 resolution for fashion geek….my goal which I must absolutely achieve this year is…drum rolls please….to WRITE 1,000 POSTS by December 31^st 2014! Now it’s out there and I have no control over it. I absolutely must achieve this goal not just for my own piece of mind but also to give me something to thank God for and as a self-esteem booster. Once I achieve it, I will celebrate it and do something really great…like…hhhhm I need to think of the best way to reward myself for achieving this goal. I have 14 POSTS so far so in the meantime I need to keep moving so wish me luck guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Best of the Burberry Prorsum Fashion Show

London Fashion Week has seen a lot of great collections on the runway. The designers have never let us down when it comes to giving the audience great shows that leave the attendees in awe, excitement and grateful that they attended one show or the other. This time I’ll feature Christopher Bailey’s collection for Burberry Prorsum collection. It featured a lot of studs, red leather trench coats accessorized with frilly bags. Gold, brown and animal print was seen on the models as they strutted the beautiful, exquisite 2013 Collection. The clothes are easy on the eyes and to wear. The collection is classy, very trendy for the modern lady and also seriously gorgeous. Enjoy the collection.

Crazy for Cobalt Blue Color

Last year 2013 saw collections that were extravagant, crazy, beautiful and in various colors. The Fall Fashion Trend in 2013 was Cobalt Blue which is one color that I have been crazy about. The color was seen on designers’ collection like Valentino , Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors and DKNY. Blue especially Cobalt Blue , and showcased this amazing blue in their 2013 Fall/Winter collections.

Fashion Geek Turns TWO this month!!!! I'm so excited! It has been tow years of having fun writing about what I love, being inspired by the many fashion Trends, Accessories and all things Fashion. I never dreamed that I would still be writing Fashion Geek with as much enthusiasm and excitement now as I still had when I began writing this blog.  I wrote my first post on 27/12/2011 and I have never looked back. Fashion has always inspired me and I love discovering what is new out there. I love Designers and the kinds of clothes that they bring out every season. Fashion Geek has been like the best friend of fashion where I can pour out my thoughts without worrying whether they will be wrong or right. After all Fashion is all about how you feel, what you want at that moment, the kind of emotions that the piece of cloth or fabric brings out and whether you are satisfied with what you have put on. Just simple pleasures that you get in Fashion.
These two years have been categorized by a lot of milestones, I know I would have wanted more than that but I have written Over 300 posts and the best part is that my blog hit the 100,000 page views mark. And it has all been made possible by you my readers whom without, Fashion Geek would have been just an idea in my head and not a really great blog that I enjoy writing and even reading. Decorating your Home For Christmas

During Christmas we all want to fill our homes with the cheers and spirit of Christmas through home decor.  Christmas is a time that you get to spend with your family some who have been away for some reason or the other. You therefore want to create a space that is filled with festivities, warmth and love because Christmas time does that…brings everyone to gather. Decorating should not have to be a headache or something that you dread doing rather it should be the time to bring everyone and have them be involved in the decorating of the home.

The Christmas tree is usually the center point of the whole festivities therefore you will do good to find one before all the last minute rushes and you end up with leftovers or less than impressive tree. There are many varieties of trees that range in color, size and even shape. People have moved from the traditional green tree and are even embracing the red or even white Christmas tree. So don’t be afraid to venture from the traditional. The tree can be put in the garden but most people prefer it in the living room especially in corners or around fireplaces.

The windows should not be left out as you can decorate them with wreathes and red and green ribbons in various shapes and sizes. The quantity does not matter as long as you leave space for air to get into the house. Vases can be used to place some decorations on the window sills or even the tables. Wreathes and ribbons can be also be hung on chandeliers if you have on or just the coiling and the normal lighting ensuring that they will not catch any fire if the lights are put ion.

The tree will obviously have the Christmas lights adorning it either around or from up tom down just depending on your tastes. The lights can also be stuck on the walls or draped in a nice was or create patterns and shapes using the lights from the ceiling or walls. Decorating your home for Christmas should be fun and can be done by the whole family, just have fun commemorate your traditions or choose to go modern either way Christmas Deco is easy and has no rules except…Enjoy the moments!! Robert Pattinson Selling Home He Once Shared With Kristen Stewart

Here's your chance to finally be closer to Robert Pattinson: by buying his old house. The Los Feliz house he once shared with Kristen Stewart is now up for grabs for $6.75 million, according to RedFin.
The 1922 Spanish-style home Pattinson bought in 2011 from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has not been lived in since his split with Stewart, reports Forbes. The building, built by Stiles O. Clements of El Capitan Theatre fame, according to CurbedLA, is 4,026 square-foot, nestled in 1.5 acres of a glorious landscape complete with a lagoon pool, greenery, and fountains. There are three bedrooms and over three bathrooms with this intricately terraced home. CurbedLA notes that the house has had a change of celebrity hands over the past years, with previous owners being Tim Curry, Noah Wyle, and cinematographer Robert Richardson.

Italian luxury fashion maison Emilio Pucci (owned by LVMH) opened a new Paris store located on Avenue Motaigne. The 140 square meter boutique was designed by architect Joseph Dirand and Pucci's creative director Peter Dundas.

Emilio Pucci Chief Executive Officer Alessandra Carra Commented saying,  “This is a very exciting time for Pucci’s growth. We have had great momentum with our retail strategy in the last two quarters and will continue to hit both fashion capitals as well as key emerging markets around the world.
