Lemaire's tenure at Hermès was characterized by a masterful blend of elegance, functionality, and timeless design, culminating in a collection that paid homage to the brand’s heritage while also paving the way for a new direction.

A Tribute to Craftsmanship

  1. Signature Elegance:

    • Lemaire’s designs for Hermès have always emphasized refined simplicity. The Spring 2015 collection continued this theme, featuring clean lines, soft silhouettes, and an understated color palette. The garments exuded an effortless sophistication that appealed to the modern woman.
  2. Attention to Detail:

    • As with all Hermès collections, craftsmanship was at the forefront. The collection showcased exquisite tailoring and luxurious materials, highlighting the brand's commitment to quality. Every piece reflected meticulous attention to detail, from intricate stitching to the use of high-quality fabrics.

Lemaire emphasized versatile pieces that could transition seamlessly from day to night, appealing to a wide range of lifestyles. The collection was designed to be worn and cherished, embodying the notion of timeless fashion.

Key Elements of the Collection

  1. Neutral Color Palette:

  2. Fluid Silhouettes:

    • The silhouettes were characterized by their fluidity, with many garments draping elegantly on the body. The use of lightweight fabrics and relaxed fits contributed to an overall sense of ease, reflecting Lemaire’s vision of modern femininity.
  3. Layering Techniques:

    • Layering played a significant role in the collection, with models showcasing versatile combinations that allowed for personal expression. Lemaire’s approach encouraged layering different textures and lengths, providing a sense of depth and complexity to the looks.
  4. Accessories and Footwear:

    • The collection also featured Hermès’ signature accessories, including handbags and shoes that complemented the garments beautifully. The footwear, particularly, highlighted a mix of styles from sleek ankle boots to chic sandals, adding a finishing touch to the ensembles.

A Fond Farewell

Lemaire’s departure from Hermès was met with mixed emotions. His contributions to the brand redefined its modern identity, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. The Spring 2015 collection not only served as a farewell to his tenure but also set a high standard for the future direction of the brand.

  1. Legacy of Innovation:

    • Lemaire’s influence on Hermès will be remembered for his ability to innovate while respecting the brand’s rich heritage. His designs have left an indelible mark on the fashion industry, inspiring future generations of designers.
  2. A New Chapter:

    • Following Lemaire’s departure, Hermès continued to evolve, bringing in new talent to carry the brand’s legacy forward. The foundation laid during Lemaire’s time ensured that Hermès would remain synonymous with luxury, quality, and elegance.

Emilio Pucci Fall/Winter 2014 Collection at the Milan Fashion Week was crazy fun. The Designs feature a lot of fur and tribal prints that give the feeling of elegance and sophistication. A lot of wearable items not just for the catwalk but for the everyday woman who wants to have something special and unique to wear. The fabric on some pieces is free and smooth giving you that feeling of freedom and easiness on the body. There were also some sweaters uniquely designed not just to keep you warm but fabulous too. The gowns were amazing falling smoothly on the models creating a perfect silhouette and classiness. Brown and black were mostly the colors but Emilio Pucci also added a dash of yellow, red, orange and even some green, lovely! At the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Zuhair Murad found his inspiration in the woods as his Fall 2013 Couture collection is called "Enchanted Forest,” This was brought out in the many gowns that had decorations that looked like tree branches and roots.
The beading on the gowns resembled those plants that weave themselves around a tree or the moss that collects around trees. Embroidered around the cocktail dresses and some outfits were branches that stretched out creating a visually appeasing look that left enough to the imagination.
The colors were bright sleek and chic. Black has never seemed so sophisticated and classic the way it did on the gowns, cocktail dresses. I love this collection as it is completely fabulous and dreamy. The rich colors pull you in and capture your attention, there was even a touch of feathers! Check out the rest of the collection and tell me what you think!
