How to wear sweater dress styles is all a matter of playing
with layers and silhouettes. The sweater dress is a staple in many fall/winter
wardrobes and is great for seasonal dressing. However, simply throwing it on
over a pair of tights can all get a bit predictable. If you’re after a few
ideas for how to wear sweater dresses, check out the next couple of tips for
outfit inspiration.
1. Make your sweater dress extra cosy by piling on
winter-appropriate layers. Right now you can’t go past a shaggy faux fur vest
for a fashionable layering piece. Keep a rock-chic look going by slipping on
some opaque tights, edgy ankle boots, and a wide-brimmed felt hat.
2. Double Duty
Rihanna’s New Viva Glam Ad – Following up the news last year
that Rihanna would be the latest Viva Glam spokesperson for MAC, the cosmetics
giant revealed the campaign image on its Facebook yesterday.
The pop super star

One hundred percent of
the Viva Glam lipstick sales goes to the MAC AIDS fund to help those affected
by the disease.
The limited edition lip stain will be available this month.
1. Classy/Office/Business Style. Wear an office white dress
with heeled pumps in white or black (brights will do, but they look more
lunch/dinner than work appropriate), a big black bag & a white blazer or
coat on top. Or don a white trouser suit, in a loose cut. The secret to this
look is pairing the dress, suit, white skirt and white blouse with either white
or black shoes and bags. It’ll look smart, classy & empowering.
2. Feminine/Spring’ish Style. Think beach dresses, summer
dresses in cotton, loose, flirty, midi or pleated skirts with white tees;
palazzo pants with white tops – all paired with pastel accessories, wedge
soles, brown tones, red lips, colored details. Think super girly, feminine posh
flirty styles.
3. Casual Style. The easiest of them all. It has to do with
ditching the heels for more comfy shoes (flats, sneakers, boots, loafers,
sandals, wedges) in white or not. White jeans and a white tee, shirt or blouse.
White shorts and a white denim shirt, white cotton dress, white skirt, maxi
dress, the sky’s the limit really.
Natalia for Vogue–Landing the November 2014 cover from Vogue

return to fashion after giving birth to her son Maxim earlier this year. First,
she covered Vanity Fair and then Vogue Paris. What a great year for model fans,
after the magazine’s September issue featured top girls like Karlie Kloss, Joan
Smalls and Cara Delevingne.

Explore Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection by Nicolas Ghesquière, a masterful blend of retro-futurism, 70s silhouettes, and feminine rebellion unveiled at Paris Fashion Week. At the Louis Vuitton Foundation, a contemporary art museum designed by Frank Gehry and shimmering like a spaceship in the Bois de Boulogne, Nicolas Ghesquière unveiled his Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection for Louis Vuitton. This was only his second runway as creative director for the iconic French maison, but already, he was sculpting a new Vuitton woman, one informed by nostalgia and grounded in futurism. With a collection that merged 1970s sensuality with structured sci-fi undertones, Ghesquière affirmed that his vision for Louis Vuitton wasn’t just fashionable, it was deeply philosophical.
1) Set small patterns against large ones, limit your palette
and include one solid piece.
2) Pick a color theme, look for variations in pattern,
balance large scale with an allover print, solids in theme colors anchor the
look.
3) Find one item that is multicolored and pair them with
other pieces that pick up the colors of that scheme. Keep furniture pieces
basic and solid to act as a canvas.
4) If you limit your palette to a couple of vibrant hues and
play them off of a neutral background, a playful mix of prints looks cohesive while
effectively moving your eye around the space.
5) A monochromatic palette against a neutral background
makes it impossible to mess up.
At Paris Fashion Week Spring 2015, Hermès presented a collection that embodied quiet luxury, subtle innovation, and understated sensuality. It was a landmark show, marking the final collection under Christophe Lemaire’s direction after four refined years at the helm of the heritage house. Lemaire's swan song was a graceful and poetic interpretation of what Hermès has always done best: timeless elegance rooted in craftsmanship, natural fabrics, and ease of movement.
