Michelle Obama in Stripes

Michelle Obama looks great in any outfit she wears. This year's trends have seen the stripped look come back and since she is stylish lady, She looks quite good in this stripped look. The trick with stripes is you have to be careful not to over do it or else you end up looking too busy and out of place.
For stripes you can have a portion of the outfit with a single line or two of stripes or you can have stripes from top to bottom.
The stripes can be vertical or horizontal but caution needs to be taken when choosing the pattern for the stripes. If you are really tall and slim avoid vertical stripes as they will make you look elongated and taller than you really are, on the other hand if you are full figured avoid horizontal stripes as they will make you to appear larger than your real size.
Either way if you can pull off both horizontal and vertical stripes, have fun experimenting with color, texture a mix of several colors and even designs. Just pick a fashion idea from the First Lady and you can never go wrong or regret coming out of the house. As you can see whether it is state functions, dinner, a day out with the family or on official business stripes are a wonderful, sexy and elegant fashion style.
Stripes can be a full dress, a skirt or just a blouse, even a stripped scarf would suffice. Trust Michelle, she knows what looks good and knows how to work it!

Trending now Earlace Earrings

These are the newest trends in fashion accessories, as far as jewellery goes the ear lace jewellery is the best so far. This is because they make head turning statement for the wearer. The inspiration for the ear-lace comes from the need to wear earrings and a necklace at the same time without having to decide which earrings go with which necklace, quite inventive i must say. This is something that can be worn as both earrings and necklace. Be warned this style is for the brave hear-ted as it takes a strong will to have earrings that come up to your chest. Some are made of a lighter metal so as not to become too heavy to strain the neck or pull at the ear lobes. You can accessorize with feathers or plain pair with a cute outfit and you are good to go.

Call the Fashion Police: Top 10 Summer Fashion Don'ts

I'm not sure if it's the sticky-hot temperatures or just the memory of carefree childhoods, but there's something about summer time that encourages adults to lose a level of decency and taste. It happens year after year -- the streets are suddenly flocked with unflattering and juvenile fashion statements, young and old, men and women, professional and non-professional alike. We might shrug our shoulders because it's summer and it's hot, but there are certain summer fashion faux pas that simply make you look ridiculous. And you need to stop it. Here are my (and surely, yours) 10 top worst pet peeves about summer fashion gone wrong

10. Unmanicured Feet Unmanicured Feet

Speaking of feet. Men and women alike are guilty of this, and it's probably my biggest pet peeve. If you aren't going wear your pretty little sandals or your manly summer flip flops, at least make your feet look presentable.

9. Short-Sleeve Button-Down Shirt

Another major office (and even more baffling, out-of-the-office) fashion DON'T that always reappears when the temperatures spike is the short-sleeved button-down shirt. I have two words for you: Dwight Schrute. At least wear it in a solid color, no prints

8. Too Much Skin, All At Once

Women: Follow the basic role of accentuating (or exposing) one area at a time. So if you're showing a lot of leg, put away the cleavage. If you're wearing a strapless dress, slightly lower the hem past peek-a-boo status.
Men: No one wants to see your upper thighs. Fact.
P.S. Denim on denim is very in these days -- needless to say, he didn't pull off the look.... more

7. The Wrong Type/Color Underwear

And this is probably the most common summer fashion DON'T. Pink underwear with white skirts, neon bras with see-through tops, lacy outlines in skin-tight white pants, and now I'm just shaking my head at the long list of no-nos. Go feel and be sexy in a nude thong -- it can be a wonderful thing.

6. Super Short Shorts

I'd like to believe this mistake ends around age 21, but not so. I know it's hot out, but there's a fine line between underwear and shorts -- and that line is the bottom crease of your tush.

5. Mixed Season Trends (Specifically UGGS with Skirts)

OK, we have bear paws as feet on the bottom accompanied by booty-showing skirts on top. Since when was this ever the style? This goes for all winter-summer combos, like beanie hats, sweatshirts, knee-high boots and oh, the list goes on.

4. Baby String Bikinis

I know it's intended to be cute, not shocking, but it is the latter. Exposing your baby to all the sun exposure is just as bad as the skin exposure. Can we please let a kid be a kid?
