Color Blocking Fashion Trend 2011

Color Blocking has been a 2011 fashion trend that hit the fashion industry by storm. The trend is yet to die down as it is bold, fabulous and a trend that will forever be in the vintage archives of fashion.
When spotting this trend just make sure that you do not dress with too many colors as they will make you look confused and lost in a hue of many colors. Just choose two or even three but make sure you blend them well to achieve a perfect little out fit and complete it with simple accessories or none at all since the colors are bold enough by themselves.

Celebrities have embraced the Crackle Nail Polish trend

Even Celebrities have embraced the Crackle Nail Polish trend that has been seen on several of them. So do not be afraid of having a little bling on your nails. They have endorsed it so it is definitely something new to try and have fun with.

Crackle Nail Polish different colors

Crackle Nail Polish different colors
Below are some crackle or shatter nail polish tips:
  • Choose 2 nail polish colors that really contrast for best result. One regular nail polish for the base and one crackle polish for upper layer. So choose base color that will go nicely with the top crackle polish.
  • After applying the base polish, wait until it completely dries. It must be completely dry so the crackle polish can crack nicely.
  • Before applying, shake the crackle polish until it mixed well.
  • After applying, just wait and watch while the polish is doing its crackle magic.
  • Usually crackle nail polish dries matte and chips easily. You need top coat to make it shine and long lasting.
  • For fine and small crackles, apply thin layer. And for bigger crackle, go thicker. Basically the thinner, the more cracks you have.

Crackle Nail Polish trend

You know how you usually freak out, say a choice word or boil with frustration when you smudge or chip a fresh manicure? Well, looking un- polished (sorry, we had to!) isn’t so taboo in the manicure world anymore.
The newest trend to hit salon and store shelves is crackle nail polish. Yes, it looks just like it sounds. It creates a crackly, textured look on your nails. With some brands crackle nail polish almost gives off a safari or leopard print vibe. While makeup companies dabbled in the crackle nail polish trend years ago, today’s crackle polishes come in a wide spectrum of colors with varying shimmers and truly give off an edgy, artsy look.

To get the desired look, you paint on a base color and top it with a black top coat that crackles over the base coat.
