5 Tips on Mixing Prints in Interiors

1) Set small patterns against large ones, limit your palette and include one solid piece.
2) Pick a color theme, look for variations in pattern, balance large scale with an allover print, solids in theme colors anchor the look.
3) Find one item that is multicolored and pair them with other pieces that pick up the colors of that scheme. Keep furniture pieces basic and solid to act as a canvas.
4) If you limit your palette to a couple of vibrant hues and play them off of a neutral background, a playful mix of prints looks cohesive while effectively moving your eye around the space.

5) A monochromatic palette against a neutral background makes it impossible to mess up.

Patrick Dempsey Covers Manhattan Magazine October 2014

On his first audition for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ with creator Shonda Rhimes: “At first I thought [Shonda] hated me, but she was calculating in her head where to put me and what I’d be right for…they liked me, but they wanted me to do a chemistry read with [lead actress Ellen Pompeo]. I had an immediate connection with her because she has a Boston accent, and I’m from Maine, so that disarmed me.”

On his love of racing and his wife Jillian sharing his passion: “I think she kind of wishes she hadn’t allowed me to start racing because it’s become a full-time business and occupation outside of, and on top of, everything else I’m doing. She got the new Porsche 911 Targa as an anniversary present and now says, ‘I completely understand why you love cars and the rush of it!’ If you’re in a performance car there’s definitely a sensation that you get that is indescribable.”

Accessorize with Chunky Gold Chain Neck Piece

I'm currently loving the Chunky Gold Chain Neck Piece as an accessory for my outfits...literally anything goes with this piece of jewelry. It is versatile and works well with neutral and even bold colors. Since it is a chunky piece of jewelry, it can stand on its own without really layering it with other pieces of jewelry. It gives you a sort of classy and bold look that will boost your confidence any day. Not to be worn to work unless its worn in such a way that it does not look out of place at the office. You can do this by wearing a less heavier chunky Gold Chain but it is up to you to decide how to make it blend or clash with your chosen look. Go ahead and give it a try, worth buying for yourself and even a friend.
