Alexander McQueen Resort 2012 Collection

A fusion of military details, Edwardian silhouettes, and the idea of "romantic utility" characterized Sarah Burton's Resort 2012 outing for Alexander McQueen. While staying true to plenty of classic McQueen elements — high necks, cinched waistlines, gold-embellished gowns — the collection also featured an injection of Burton's now-signature sense of softness. Corsetless tulle gowns, fitted lace dresses, and soft-ruffled peplums in elongated cuts portrayed a new, easier wearability. African-inspired leopard prints, colorful embroidery, and mirrored appliques added intrigue to the otherwise neutral palette of khaki, navy, ivory and black.

They come in denim, tweed and velvet shorts and it is up to you to choose the type that you like and appropriate for your body type. This style can be dressed with a cute blouse, boyfriend jacket or blazer or a lovely fitting t-shirt.
You can add a pretty, dressy top, some black wedges, and an edgy pair of  earrings. You can also wear a pair of girly flats and complete the look with a cocktail ring if you are going out for a party or evening cocktail.

Since it is light its best worn during summer for brunches with your family or friends, a day at the beach or even for those hot evening nights when you are going out.

The best part of these scarf dresses is that even full figured ladies can wear them as they are free and flow down the body very perfectly.

Hairstyle comeback the Bun Hairstyle

A bun (also known as a bobtail) is a type of hairstyle, typically worn by women, where the hair is pulled back from the face, twisted or plaited and wrapped in a circular coil around itself, typically on the back of the head or neck. They can either be secured with a hairpiece, a hairnet and bobby pins. They may be tightly gathered or slightly messier and more informal. Buns, like ponytails, may cause headaches if worn too tight or up too high on the head.
Men are not often seen wearing them, but they can do so. This may be because they are using it in a practical way such as in sport (like samurais) or using it in a formal way.
Also known as a " ballet bun," this hairstyle is used by nearly all female ballet dancers and some male ballet dancers, with a few notable exceptions. Ballet dancers often use hairnets and bobby pins to make the bun as tight and neat as possible. This is especially important while turning, as loose buns may fall out and the bun has to look presentable.
Basically, bun hairstyles are just twisting the hair in such a way that it is coiled around itself.

Beyonce’s New Scent...Heat

Heat is the first fragrance by attractive and talented Beyonce and it arrives on the market in February 2010. Name of the fragrance was inspired by Beyonce's tour and performances. Colour of flacon and liquid was chosen after Beyonce's favourite colour – red, with a wish to look like fire with antique details.

Beyonce's temperament was depicted through the whole concept of the fragrance, from name and design to composition created in cooperation with perfumers of the house of Givaudan - Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin. Top notes of Heat are decorated with red vanilla-orchid, magnolia, neroli and peach. A passionate heart offers honeysuckle, almond and musky cream, while a base finishes with sequoia wood, tonka and amber.

Summer Jewelry Trends Cocktail Rings / Oversized Rings

Cocktail rings are big over sized rings that come in various sizes and designs. They are called cocktail because most of them time they are worn for cocktail parties in the evening with glamorous outfits.
Any design goes and you can choose colors to match your outfit or you can contrast and color clash and since the rings are big accessories on their own wear one at a tome so as not to crowd your fingers.
The bigger the better, just be sure it's not so big that it slides off your finger. Flaunt this trend with oversized looks of jewels.

Laddered Stockings are all the Rage

It used to be that when your stockings got old and ripped mostly by accident while trying to put them on, you would throw them away and get new ones. Well in 2011-2012, it seems that is not the case anymore. Ripped stockings or tights have become a trend that is a force to reckon with. They have been seen on the catwalks, on celebrities and even on the streets.
To get the trend you can either rip your stockings manually, or accidentally on purpose or even get them in various shops.
Wearing the laddered stockings trend is tricky though, because you can either look chic or plain tacky like something got caught up in your stockings, ripped it and you did not notice.
Laddered stockings can be worn with a mini skirt, dress or even a knee length outfit. However the laddered trend should not be worn to the office unless either you are the boss or the company is really liberal in the dress code.
Check it out.

Top 10 Wedding Gowns Trends

Here are the top ten wedding trends for the bride to be.
  • RUFFLES
Ruffles are something brides tend to love or hate – they’re slightly over-the-top, definitely unminimilistic and tend to swing between either being a hot trend or likened to a toilet-roll doll (remember those?).  There are some stunning ruffled gowns out there, and for the bride who wants to create impact, ruffles may be well worth a look.

Today is February 29th...Leap Year! Did you know?

1908 postcard Woman capturing man with butterfly-net.

A leap year (or intercalary or bissextile year) is a year containing one additional day (or, in the case of lunisolar calendars, a month) in order to keep the calender year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, a calendar that had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting (or intercalating) an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. A year that is not a leap year is called a common year.
February 29 is a date that usually occurs every four years, and is called leap year day. This day is added to the calendar in leap years as a corrective measure, because the earth does not orbit around the sun in precisely 365 days.

Brides Maids Dresses Designs

Although many exceed the minimum, the bridesmaids' required duties are very limited. They are required to attend the wedding ceremony and to assist the bride on the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids in Europe and North America are often asked to assist the bride with planning the wedding and a wedding reception. In modern times, a bridesmaid is also typically asked to play a role in planning wedding-related events, such as a bridal shower or bachelorette party if there are any.
The duties and costs of being a bridesmaid are parsed out between a bride and her attendants in a variety of ways. Since modern bridesmaids, unlike their historical counterparts, can no longer rely on having their clothes and travel expenses paid for by the bride's family, and are sometimes even told they must pay for parties that the bride wants to have before the wedding, it has become customary for the bride to present the bridesmaids with gifts as a sign of gratitude for the support and financial commitment that comes with their roles. It has become equally customary for women who are invited to serve as bridesmaids to first ask about the amount of time, energy, and money that the bride expects from them before accepting this position, and to decline or resign if this is more than they will be able to give.

Graffitti T-Shirts for the Urban Chic and Dude

Graffiti has been found in very old cities. For example, in the Roman Empire, people wrote messages and drew caricatures on walls. Graffiti is also found in many places. Some of people do murals of graffiti rather than just writing one mark in a location. It was used for good instead of vandalism. Probably the simplest graffiti is when a person cuts (or carves) the name of a lover on a tree with a knife.
Today, many graffiti are very complicated mixtures of writing and pictures. They are sometimes made by gangs and applied with spray-paint to buildings, bridges, street signs, and other areas. These are often signed with a tag (in graffiti slang, a signature), which is a shape special to an artist or group.

Perfect match...Lipstick and Nail Polish

The trend of matching the color of your lipstick and nail polish is back. This trend was there way back and then it disappered but it has made a solid comeback. Match the colors that you want as there is no limit or rules that limit your imagination.

Boyfriend Jeans A Fashion Staple

Boyfriend jeans and trousers are over sized jeans and trousers worn by women. Made immensely popular by the Hollywood hottie Katie Holmes, this is a trend which seems to be going really strong for Spring 2011, precisely for the reason that it looks super comfortable, roomy and airy!
What to wear with boyfriend jeans
As is the unspoken rule with most fashion items, team loose with fitting and vice versa. If you are wearing baggy, loose fitting boyfriend’s jeans, team them with well fitting shirts, vests and tee shirts to present a relaxed, comfortable yet feminine look, which is carefully thought out and not at all shabby or masculine!
How should they fit?
The fit of these jeans is relaxed, and while they sit low but are fitted at the waist, and are loose and relaxed all through the butt, thigh and leg area. Very often these are folded at the bottom into a loose cuff to further accentuate the casual air about them.
If you are not getting a pair of jeans which are classified as ‘Boyfriend jeans’, choose a relaxed fit in a size which is one bigger than your regular size. Ensure that while it fits at the waist, it sits a little lower than usual and the thigh and leg area are loose and roomier. Do not choose sizes which are bigger than one size as they may be too loose fitting and you may end up looking shabby.

Tips on Buying a Men's Slim-fit Suit by Lindsay Law

For a sleek, modern suit different from traditional men's suits, why not try a slim-fit suit on for size? Cut narrower in the waist and legs, a slim-fit suit gives you a fashionable, fitted style perfect for the office, a church function or a more formal occasion. Read on for tips on buying men's slim suits that flatter your body and are versatile enough for many different events.

Selecting slim-fit suits
  • Get the skinny.
Typically, men's slim suits feature a tapered waist, slim and slightly tapered legs and a narrower point-to-point shoulder measurement. If you have muscular arms, defined legs or a wide waist, a men's dress suit cut in a slim fit may not work best for you. However, slim-fit men's suits can help you achieve a flattering silhouette and visually trim a full chest or stomach as well

Skinny Suits for Men

The light skinny suit is what is going to make or break you this summer. Don't even think about walking into a Manhattan lounge without one on. You want respect and you don't want your time wasted. These are lightweight and are easily used with other pairs. Jet black if you don't mind the Bond references all night (this may not bother you), but Dark jeans and a Skinny Black Blazer doesn't dock you points. Skinny. Ties. Only. Unless you're in a business meeting or wearing a 3 piece/ie sweater, Fat ties are a not.
If you didn't notice, thin is in. Especially now. If you haven't done much about your body all winter, you might want to squeeze in a month of working out. These outfits are not too expensive (Zara 49.95-69.95 tops/pants). Spending on a budget this season will not be hard. Shorts paired with Boat Sweater or even a light blazer is not going to kill you. Chic and clean is what it's about. Stay simple, but exude echelon.
Lots More to expect this season!

Bat Sleeves Style

The bat sleeve fashion style is named so because the sleeves of either the tops or dresses resembles the wings of bats at flight.
The bat sleeved tops or dress is wonderful to dress because it is usually made of very light material, even the embroidered ones are very airy and therefore suitable for the hot weather.
Pair the bat sleeve top with your skinny jeans a short skirt or shorts. The design can be off the shoulder, full neck, v-neck or even the round neck.
There is absolutely no rules when it comes to dressing the bat sleeves style because any kind of accessories matches this style. Experiment on what works best for your sense of style and tastes.

Pussy Bow Trend

This Pussy Bow Usually refers to a Larger than Life Bow which can be tied at the neck or worn like a man's tie. It is a trend that looks like the 80's fashion which is lovely. The Bow is usually part of the blouse but one can tie it themselves using a piece of fabric mostly silk.
Tho Bow can be seen on casual blouses and can even be part of a blouse that is for office wear. Match it with minimum accessories or without it is a masterpiece in itself.
The bow is mostly on blouses but even dresses can have the Pussy Bow.
Dress the Bow with a pencil skirt which looks lovely, a trouser or trouser suit or tie a piece of fabric into the bow and tie it around your trench coat, whichever way your fashion mind feels like wearing the Bow, just be creative. It does not have to be boring.
