BTS ARIRANG World Tour Surpasses $500 Million as Historic Touring Run Continues

BTS’ ongoing ARIRANG World Tour has officially crossed the $500 million mark in reported ticket gross, adding another major milestone to a tour that continues to expand its place in global concert history. According to the latest reported figures, the tour has generated approximately $516 million in gross revenue from 44 reported shows, with around 2.68 million tickets sold so far.

The figures represent shows that have been reported to date, rather than the tour’s final total.

Billboard confirmed that ARIRANG had already become the first tour by a pop group to surpass $500 million in cumulative ticket sales, making BTS the seventh group of any genre to reach the milestone. Billboard noted that the other six groups ahead of this milestone were rock bands.

The tour is currently only halfway through its announced 88-show plan, with 44 shows completed and additional dates and locations expected to be revealed in 2027. That means the $500 million milestone has arrived while a substantial portion of the touring schedule remains ahead.

August delivered another extraordinary month for BTS. According to Billboard Boxscore, the group generated $171.7 million from 12 shows, selling approximately 801,000 tickets during the month. That placed BTS at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Tours chart for August.

The August total is particularly significant because it ranks as the second-biggest one-month gross in Billboard Boxscore history, behind Beyoncé’s $179.3 million reported in August 2023.

The August results also marked BTS’ fifth time topping Billboard’s monthly Top Tours chart, adding another achievement to the group’s long history on the touring chart.

ARIRANG had already made Billboard history earlier in the year. In May, BTS earned $127.8 million from 12 shows and sold 641,000 tickets, establishing the highest monthly gross by a group in Billboard Boxscore history at that time. The figure surpassed the previous group record of $95 million set by The Rolling Stones in August 2019.

That May milestone established BTS as the group with the highest monthly touring revenue recorded by Billboard Boxscore since the chart began tracking monthly results in 2019.

The latest August performance has now pushed ARIRANG beyond another major financial threshold, with BTS becoming the first pop group to pass $500 million in cumulative ticket sales on a single tour.

With millions of tickets already sold and dozens of performances still ahead, ARIRANG’s final numbers remain open-ended. For now, the $516 million reported gross, 2.68 million tickets sold and 44 completed shows mark another chapter in what has become one of BTS’ biggest touring achievements.
