BTS ARIRANG World Tour Surprise Songs Updated List, April to September 2026
One of the most exciting parts of BTS' ARIRANG World Tour has become the surprise-song segment, giving ARMY a different experience at almost every concert. After performing “Dynamite,” BTS select two songs from their extensive discography, creating an unpredictable moment that can bring back anything from an early-career classic to a beloved fan favorite.
The surprise-song segment has now continued through the Los Angeles finale on September 6, 2026, with BTS closing the North American leg at SoFi Stadium with “Whalien 52” and “Spring Day.” The September 6 setlist confirms both songs were performed after “Dynamite” and before “Please” and “Into the Sun.”
How the ARIRANG surprise songs work
Unlike the main ARIRANG setlist, which remains largely consistent from city to city, the surprise songs change throughout the tour. The segment has allowed BTS to revisit songs spanning more than a decade of their career.
The concept has also produced some fun moments onstage, as the members sometimes have to quickly remember lyrics and choreography for songs they have not performed together in years. With BTS having such a large catalog, fans never know which combination will appear next.
According to the updated tour record, the group initially avoided repeating songs, but repeat selections have become part of the experience as the tour has progressed.
The surprise-song journey began in Goyang, where BTS performed “Mikrokosmos” and “I Need U” on April 9. The following shows brought “Take Two” and “DNA,” followed by “Spring Day” and “Run.”
Tokyo delivered “Save Me” and “Crystal Snow,” followed by “Dope” and “For You.”
When BTS arrived in Tampa, ARMY received “Permission to Dance” and “Magic Shop,” then “Boy With Luv” and “Pied Piper,” followed by “Life Goes On” and “Silver Spoon.”
The selections continued across El Paso and Mexico City, including “ON,” “Outro: Wings,” “Dionysus,” “Best of Me,” “Boy In Luv,” “So What,” “We Are Bulletproof Pt.2,” “Just One Day,” “Airplane Pt.2,” and “Spring Day.”
At Stanford, BTS brought out “N.O,” “Anpanman,” “Dope,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “I Need U,” and “No More Dream.”
Las Vegas added another memorable collection: “Permission to Dance,” “Go Go,” “Black Swan,” “Spine Breaker,” “Anpanman,” “Attack on Bangtan,” “Boyz With Fun,” and “Danger.”
The European leg continued the unpredictable selections.
Madrid featured “Airplane Pt.2” and “Outro: Wings,” followed by “Mikrokosmos” and “Best of Me.” Brussels brought “Tomorrow,” “Boy With Luv,” “ON,” and “For Youth.”
London saw “Life Goes On” paired with “Dionysus,” while the second night featured “Save Me” and “Epilogue: Young Forever.”
Munich delivered “Silver Spoon” and “Pied Piper,” followed by “Louder Than Bombs” and “Blood Sweat & Tears.”
Paris then gave fans “Boy With Luv” and “Jump,” followed by “So What” and “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal.”
The North American leg produced plenty of memorable combinations.
East Rutherford featured “Dis-ease” and “Run,” followed by “Autumn Leaves” and “Go Go.” Foxborough brought “Paradise” and “No More Dream,” followed by “Make It Right” and “N.O.”
Baltimore gave fans “Telepathy” and “Boy In Luv,” followed by “Just One Day” and “Best of Me.” Arlington featured “Permission to Dance” and “Go Go,” followed by “Butterfly” and “DNA.”
Toronto delivered “Outro: Wings” and “Dope” on its first night, while the second night featured “00:00 (Zero O'Clock)” and “Outro: Tear.”
Chicago then surprised fans with “Tomorrow” and “Hip Hop Phile,” followed by “134340” and “Mikrokosmos.”
BTS' four-night Los Angeles run added four different combinations to the list. On September 1, fans heard “Boy In Luv” and “Magic Shop.” September 2 brought “Love Maze” and “Silver Spoon.” September 5 featured “Home” and “Pied Piper.”
For the September 6 finale, BTS performed “Whalien 52” and “Spring Day.” The official setlist confirms that “Whalien 52” was performed for the first time since 2019, making its return particularly special. With the North American leg complete, the surprise-song tradition is set to continue as BTS move into the remaining dates of the ARIRANG World Tour.
For ARMY, that means every upcoming concert carries the possibility of another unexpected trip through BTS' enormous catalog. Whether the members bring back an early classic, a fan-favorite B-side, or a song that has not been heard onstage for years, the surprise segment remains one of the most anticipated moments of every ARIRANG show.
And with dozens of concerts still ahead, the question for fans is simple: Which BTS song will “DJ, spin that” next?
