De-clutter your closet

  1.  Create time to take stock of your closet. Remove all those clothes that you no longer fit or are worn out, and give them away. Clothes that are still in good condition can be sold at car boof sales. fashion trade-in parties or online.
  2. Arrange clothes according to "seasons" thus: clothes that you currently love and/or are suitable for the wearther should be put on hangers according to color schemes. Remember if you cannot see it you won't wear it. Clothes that you no longer wear for whatever reason are out of "season" and should be put away in boxes.
  3. Organise your clothes according to use.
  4. If you discover that you need new items of clothing, buy only what you need to round out your wardrobe, not what you want.
  5. Stock up on timeless pieces that you will wear over a period of time
  6. Invest in multi-function pieces that can be worn day or night to almost any occassion.
  7. Think quality and not quantity, a savvy wardrobe is well edited and comsists mainly of quality pieces that are made well and will last.
  8. Invest in a few high-impact accessories that will do wonders for your wardrobe.
